The District plans to construct a new point of supply at Center Drive and Beverly Park Road. The project will consist of a connection to Alderwood Water and Wastewater District's (AWWD) 30-inch transmission main, a 2,000 gpm booster station, and 3,500 linear feet of 16-inch transmission main from the intertie to Reservoir No. 4. This project will improve water quality by reducing the retention time between the source and the District's customers, provide a redundant source of supply, and reduce the wholesale cost of water to the District by reducing Everett pumping and transmission system costs. Design is underway, and the project is scheduled for construction in 2011. In addition, SCADA improvements at Reservoir 1 are needed to allow water supplied from AWWD's system to flow to Reservoir 1.
