Over the last several years the District's wastewater treatment facility (WWTF) has been out of compliance with its NPDES permit. In 2008 staff requested The Department of Ecology (DOE) expand the wastewater permit to allow the WWTF to accept higher levels of TSS and BOD. DOE has indicated that the District needs to update the WWTF facility plan and make recommended improvements to justify increasing treatment plant loading. The facility plan would be submitted to DOE to justify our request for additional loading limits. The estimated project cost is a placeholder number until we have better information from DOE on the information they are requesting. Project Manager is Gil Bridges.
