This is the next phase of the Outfall replacement project which will include the following elements as indicated in Table 8 of the Existing Outfall Predesign Report, completed in September 2011. One additional task has been added to the tasks in Table 8, a Mandrel Test which will be performed using a Diving Subcontractor. The test will determine conclusively if the existing pipe has a large enough, unobstructed opening to make sliplining the new outfall a feasible alternative. If the sliplining alternative is feasible, the permitting process can be significantly simplified and expedited. Construction and Construction Management costs will occur in 2013.
