The purpose of this document is to provide the reader an overview and basic insights to the Big Gulch Sanitary Sewer Reconstruction Project. Many of our residents are aware of the different portions of the project, but we want to use this opportunity to provide everyone with a clear overview of those factors that have shaped and influenced the reconstruction of the Big Gulch sewer line.

The Big Gulch project is one of the largest public works infrastructure projects to occur in our community in quite some time. As a result, the costs to protect this critical piece of public infrastructure and return it to safe operation are high. The adverse impacts to our residents and the environment would be unprecedented if the Big Gulch trunk sewer line was to fail.
