Big Gulch Sanitary Sewer Reconstruction Project
A Brief Historical Overview
Consequences
It was determined if the trunk pipeline were to break, sanitary sewer service would be lost for an indefinite period of time for over 80% of the community. The affected neighborhoods are delineated inside the red line on the adjacent map. Depending on the severity of the pipeline failure, repairs would take from several days to quite possibly weeks. If this were to occur, public health regulations could require residents to move out of their homes until sewer service is restored. Environmental damages could also occur due to the spilled wastewater.
